Alec Oxenford
Co - Founder & Co - CEO, OLX

Alec Oxenford is a serial entrepreneur focused on the Internet industry. He has launched and led numerous Internet companies, especially in Latin America.

In March 2006 Alec co-founded OLX, Inc. with his partner Fabrice Grinda with the ambition of building a world leader free classifieds site. As co-founder, Alec manages the OLX office in Buenos Aires where the Computer Technology Team and Customer Services are based, and oversees an organization of more than 100 employees. Alec also participates in the area of M & A in Asia and Europe.

Prior to OLX, Alec co-founded and was CEO of DeRemate.com, and made it into one of the two major online auction platforms in Latin America. Alec helped the business reach $ 150 million gross sales of goods, with 1.5 million transactions and more than 5 million registered users. DeRemate was sold to an affiliate of eBay in 2005.

In 2003, Alec co-founded DineroMail SA, an online payment platform for Latin America.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Alec worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group where he advised senior executives of leading companies in Europe and Latin America on issues of strategy and organizational effectiveness.

Alec participates on numerous Boards of NGOs and was chosen Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. He graduated as an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School (97), having received First and Second Year Honours.
