Marcus Vinicios Pratini de Moraes

He holds a degree in economics from Faculdade de Ciencias Economicas da Universidade do Rio Grande do Sul (1963), a postgraduate degree in public administration from Deutsche Stiftung fur Entwicklungslander-Berlin (1965) and a business administration degree from University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Institute of Technology (1966). Mr. Pratini de Moraes held several positions in the Brazilian federal government, including Minister of Planning and General Coordination (1968-1969), Minister of Industry and Commerce (1970-1974), Minister of Mines and Energy (1992) and Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (1999-2002). He also served a term as a congressman from the state of Rio Grande Do Sul (1982-1986). He was a board member of Solvay do Brasil (1998-1999) and chairman (2003); member of the advisory council of the Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange-BM&F (2003); member of the Brazil-China Business Council (2004); president of the Brazil-Russia Business Council (2004); member of the National Council of Industrial Development (2005); and vice-president of the Beef Information Center-SIC (2005). Mr. Pratini de Moraes is currently the chairman of ABIEC (Brazilian Beef Export Industries Association), a board member of FIESP (Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo), a board member of JBS S.A. and a member of the supervisory board and the audit committee of ABN AMRO Bank N.V |

Mário Garnero
Mario Garnero is Chairman of the Board and principal shareholder of the
Brasilinvest Group, a business organization established in 1975 as a private
business agency operating along the lines of a classic “banque d’affaires”
or merchant bank, which has a present net worth estimated in US$ 700
million.
"Father of the Ethanol Car"
In the year of 1979 Mario Garnero held the position of director for
Industrial Relations of Volkswagen Brazil and was subsequently appointed
President of the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers
(ANFAVEA) As President of ANFAVEA, visualized the car empowered by ethanol as
the only solution for the ongoing fuel crisis and took the first step for
its implementation on a national scale. |

Jose Carlos Grubisich Filho
ETH Bioenergia
Born on the 19th of January, 1957 in Itatinga, São Paulo State, Brazil, J. C. Grubisich is married and has two children. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at Escola Superior de Química Osvaldo Cruz, São Paulo in 1979, and then undertook an MBA in Advanced Management at Insead, France.
He developed his career at the Rhône Poulenc Group and has occupied various positions, including: Chairman and CEO of Rhodia S.A. for Brazil and Latin America, Vice-President of Rhodia Fine Organics Worldwide and Executive Board member.
In 2002 he led the merger of companies that resulted in the creation of Braskem. As President and CEO of the company, he managed its growth and emergence as a World Class Petrochemical Company.
In July 2008, he joined ETH Bioenergia as CEO. ETH is part of Organização Odebrecht and is in the sugar, ethanol and bio-energy business.
He has been awarded the “Prêmio Executivo de Valor” prize by the newspaper Valor Econômico for the last six years. |
